Aims and Objectives of SCaRF
Since its founding in 1979, the Skin Cancer Research Fund (SCaRF) has remained steadfast in its commitment to advancing the understanding, prevention, and treatment of skin cancer, with a particular focus on malignant melanoma.
Our Core Aims and Objectives
Promote and support research into the causes, prevention, and treatment of all forms of skin cancer, especially malignant melanoma, and ensure the findings are published and shared with the wider community.
Help reduce the number of new cases and deaths from skin cancer in the United Kingdom by translating research into effective prevention and treatment strategies.
Develop and support national educational programmes to raise public awareness about the risks, prevention, and early detection of skin cancer.
